Aldeburgh Craft Fair and Christmas Napkins October 27, 2015 13:38
I've just returned from a really lovely weekend in Suffolk, taking part in the Aldeburgh Craft Fair. So far this year I've taken part in the British Craft Trade Fair, The Royal Norfolk Show and Kirstie Allsopp's Handmade Fair, pretty big events involving a lot of preparation (and cost!). So it was really great to take part in a more low-key, traditional craft fair.
The fair was taking place at Jubilee Hall in Aldeburgh, a beautiful town on the Suffolk coast. The space is used for lots of different events, in fact my stall was up on the stage where a lot of local theatre and opera performances take place.
I've been working on a few (whisper it) Christmas products in preparation for the yuletide season, so this was a good opportunity to test them out. My napkins have proved popular this year, so I printed some special boxes with Robin illustrations as well as some Norfolk Pheasant designs. I'm also bringing back my Norfolk Turkey design in the form of napkins and aprons.
As usual at craft fairs, it was lovely to meet the other stall holders (and their dogs!) as well as selling my work face-to-face to new customers.
It was also the perfect excuse to grab some fish and chips while taking in a beautiful sunset :)
